Internet Paradigm
Collective Intelligence.
The word 'Intelligence' derives from the Latin word 'inter', meaning between combined with the word legere, meaning choose. This makes intelligence not just a matter of our ability to process large amounts of information at high speeds or extraordinary memory. Rather it refers to our ability in knowing the right choices to make in certain situations, who to trust, who not to trust. It furthermore refers to freedom in a sense.
We may not realise it but collective intelligence surrounds us all day, everyday. From our parents to teaching us how to eat, sit, walk and talk, to books, lectures and demonstrations. It also refers to memes.
Everything you have learnt by copying it from someone else is a meme. This includes your habit of driving on the left or right, eating beans on toast, wearing jeans or going on a holiday. You would do none of these things if someone else hadn't done them, or something very like them, before you did.

Susan Blackmores' article 'Meme Myself and I' allows the audience to really grasp the message that, we really don't ever do anything someone else hasn't done. Unless you're some sort of scientist or doctor solving miracles, however, even with that concept they are still doing what other people have previously done, "solving miracles". It is a continuous loop.
This then leads back to the question of the world being a simulation.
I could go on and on about us living in a simulation, however, I'll leave that to another blog... So stay tuned!!
Human culture
Languages, religions, scientific theories, political ideologies and belief systems such as astrology or acupuncture, all wouldn't exist without collective intelligence. These are also known as Memeplexes, referring to a solution. We immerse ourselves in these Memeplexes as a relief of question. Solutions get shared around the world through memes.

Our collective Intelligence is what allows us to decide what solution we should believe in and what we shouldn't.
Yes, humanity has adapted to emerging media and technologies, however, we have become media.
Civilization has ultimately immersed itself into the world of media by allowing media to become us. Media used to be referred to TV and that stereotypical Friday night where you would sit at home with your family and dog after you completed school and your parents finished work, and you would all laugh at 'Funniest home videos' or 'Big Brother'. Whereas nowadays, when the word media is brought up, consumers automatically think SOCIAL MEDIA, CELEBRITIES, VLOGGERS, YOUTUBE STARS!! Tv shows are still somewhat popular, but nowhere near as much as they used to be before social media platforms arised.
Known as a 'one too many' paradigm
in convergence to a
'many to many' paradigm.
Whereby there used to be only a small amount of platforms creating media for a larger audience. Now, that large audience has become the media and are creating content for one another.
Memetic Warfare.
The internet as the battlefield of perception
Let me make this clear, memes are NOT just funny photos, videos or GIFs.
Memes are the ideas that live in peoples minds and the culture that we create and perform everyday through continual performance. Memes assist in humanities chaos of exisiting, the choices we are approached with everyday. Memes allow our decisions to be made easier, as they supply the answers and solutions from the people around us.
The internet paradigm is filled with memes, continuously every day. Which therefore forces our collective intelligence to be used everyday. Without either of these...
What would the world be like?
I'll leave that to your imagination.
