The Age Gap.
We have different interests to our parents and previous generations right. We like different music, movies, and fashion... Right?

Yeahhh... So turns out we have a lot more in common than we thought. After my last blog post I continued my content generation and found some findings... When embarking on this Instagram journey, I have come to find that my Instagram has not only drawn in my expected media niche of teenagers (ages 15-25) but adults 30+ have engaged with my account. From my perspective, this shows me that this generation is simply wanting to relive their childhood. Their early 2000s years. I came to realise that this isn't a nostalgic feeling for this generation, but it is so clearly made for the previous generations. This has completely changed my view on my audience. My audience is those who want to relive their past and experience the nostalgia, or those who simply missed the era and want to pretend they're in it.
With this I realised I never considered a wide age range audience. When it so clearly was going to come to this point.

ChatGPT helped me understand how to cater to such a big age group, and gave me strategies and ideas on what to do next. The ideas of surveys and analysing instagram insights is a great way for myself to gain insights into the specifics of each age group, being interests, age, cultures, etc...
I will continue to monitor and analyze post performance to further grow my social medias following.
